About

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), working under Giancarlo Urzúa. My research focuses on Algebraic Geometry. Previously, I was a master's student at PUC and an undergraduate student at Universidad de Los Andes under the supervision of Cristian Martínez.

Research Interests

Primarily, my research focuses on algebraic projective surfaces, with emphasis on the classification of stable limits of families of smooth projective surfaces. Using birational geometry methods, I study degenerations of rational surfaces, particularly Hirzebruch and del Pezzo surfaces.

Publications

  1. Wahl Singularities in Degenerations of del Pezzo Surfaces (with Giancarlo Urzúa). ArXiv:2504.19929
  2. The Birational Geometry of Markov Numbers (with Giancarlo Urzúa). ArXiv:2310.17957. To appear in Moscow Mathematical Journal.

Work in Progress

  1. Del Pezzo Degenerations of Hirzebruch Surfaces.
